Position: Channel Marketing Manager

Poly-Tex, Inc., a leading greenhouse and display manufacturer is seeking a Channel Manager to launch and maintain all aspects of new and existing products into our expanding eCommerce and retail channels. Due to a continuing series of products being introduced, this position will oversee a line of both lawn & garden and home and hobby products into multiple channels both dot coms and brick and mortar. This individual will be responsible for marketing and working with the sales team to provide the timely and accurate product launch and resulting placement of photos, videos, specs, copy and pricing to our online partners.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with both internal departments and product manufacturers to gather all necessary information to launch new products and keep existing products updated.
• Follow new product launch procedures to assure timely dissemination of all materials needed to online dealers with a focus on the top 25 accounts.
• Work with multiple dealers to ensure that new and existing products are listed, listings are updated, and pricing is checked all within a timely manner.
• Upstream marketing/product support for the Consumer Group.
• Analyze sales by product line to determine if focus is needed in a specific category.
• Oversee the analysis of market pricing and provide suggestions for improvement and pricing strategies.
• Monitor product sales against inventory, inventory forecasts and promotional calendar to ensure products are in-stock.
• Monitor product ratings across major online channels. Provide reporting and metrics to improve product rankings.

• Degree in marketing and/or 4+ years of experience required.
• Both upstream and downstream marketing experience is important.
• Experienced with dot com and retail channels in terms of customer interface and website designs.
• Be relatively advanced with Microsoft software, especially Excel and have some familiarity with databases. CRM experience is a plus!
• Business math proficiency for purposes of pricing, margin analysis, and quotations.
• Be highly organized. Be able to manage myriad details, timelines/calendars and "next steps/action items".
• Understand the basics of Project Management (any certifications in project management would be a strong plus.)
• Creative writing skills a plus, but not required.
• Be agile and diplomatic when dealing with competing priorities.
• Work well with others, be team oriented.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Prospects for new accounts and seeks opportunities to increase existing ones. Conducts regular sales calls to develop customer relationships and follow up on leads.
•    Build strong customer relationships to generate new and renewal sales.
•    Assists with the general marketing and sales of our commercial greenhouse and building structure products.
•    Makes recommendations on marketing, sales promotions, and new products.
•    Develops/Maintains a current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products, and competitors to support the identification of business development opportunities.
•    Be engaged with all key accounts to understand their structure, sales requirements, service requirements, and preferred method of doing business.
•    Keeps management informed of area activities, changes in competitive conditions, and significant problems.
•    You will be the main liaison between the customer and our engineering/manufacturing team through the entire sales process.
•    Provide customers with the highest standard of customer service through follow up contact and post-sale consultation.
•    Close sales, perform needs assessments, and develop a sales plan for customer accounts.
•    Assist in developing and supporting a dealer/installer dealer network.
•    Meet or exceed monthly sales objectives.
•    Work within a team environment to ensure sales are generated and are processed efficiently to achieve customer satisfaction.
•    Assist the existing marketing team in the execution of marketing strategy, including industry and distributor trade shows and key account meetings.
•    Attend trade shows, seminars and key account sponsored meetings.
•    Provides backup for other sales positions as needed.


•    Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school preferred.
•    Experience working in the construction industry  
•    Customer service experience is desired, with strong people skills.
•    Enthusiastic and confident communicator with a great phone personality and active listening skills.
•    Exceptional technical problem solving skills and the ability to influence others.
•    An understanding of construction practices, building codes, and engineering principles.
•    Self-starter, self-motivated and consistently performs at a high level.
•    Excellent team player with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile!
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to follow-through and prioritize multiple tasks. Basic internal Project

Management skills desired.

•    Business math proficiency for purposes of pricing, margin analysis and quotations for pricing and estimating.
•    High level of proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Office.
•    Basic understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience a definite plus.
