Position Description: Sales Manager (Structures)

Poly-Tex, Inc.,
 a leading greenhouse, fabric structure,  and display manufacturer is seeking an enthusiastic and high-energy individual who enjoys sales, excels in building relationships and is interested in long-term career development and financial success! Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, we have an immediate opening for a Sales Manager (Structures). If you are passionate about wanting to help our customers grow their business, this is a great opportunity for you.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospects for new accounts and seeks opportunities to increase existing ones. Conducts regular sales calls to develop customer relationships and follow up on leads.
  • Build a strong dealer/installer network for sales and installation of structures.
  • Helps direct the general marketing and sales of our commercial structures and greenhouse products.
  • Makes recommendations on marketing, sales promotions, and new products.
  • Develops/Maintains a current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products, and competitors to support the identification of business development opportunities.
  • Be engaged with all key accounts to understand their structure, sales requirements, service requirements, and preferred method of doing business.
  • Keeps management informed of area activities, changes in competitive conditions, and significant problems.
  • You will be the main liaison between the customer and our engineering/manufacturing team through the entire sales process.
  • Build strong customer relationships to generate new and renewal sales.
  • Provide customers with the highest standard of customer service through follow up contact and post-sale consultation.
  • Close sales, perform needs assessments, and develop a sales plan for customer accounts.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales objectives.
  • Work within a team environment to ensure sales are generated and processed efficiently to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Assist the existing marketing team in the execution of marketing strategy, including industry and distributor trade shows and key account meetings.
  • Attend trade shows, seminars and key account sponsored meetings.
  • Provides backup for other sales positions as needed.
  • Position reports to Vice President of Commercial Products.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Experience managing construction dealer/installer networks.
  • Customer service experience is desired, with strong people skills.
  • Enthusiastic and confident communicator with a great phone personality and active listening skills.
  • Exceptional technical problem solving skills and the ability to influence others.
  • An understanding of construction practices, building codes, and engineering principles.
  • A hunter, self-starter, self-motivated and consistently performs at a high level.
  • Excellent team player with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile!
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to follow-through and prioritize multiple tasks. Basic internal Project Management skills desired.

•    Experience working in the construction industry  
•    Customer service experience is desired, with strong people skills.

•    Self-starter, self-motivated and consistently performs at a high level.

Management skills desired.

•    Business math proficiency for purposes of pricing, margin analysis and quotations for pricing and estimating.
•    High level of proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Office.
•    Basic understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience a definite plus.
